Procurement and Inventory Analyst – Elkhorn, NE

This position will oversee and develop the company-wide inventory process.  Procures materials, supplies, equipment, and other products for GPC and its affiliates.  Ensures efficient ordering, receiving, shipping, stocking, and inventory control processes while fostering vendor relationships, tracking pricing, and automating inventory systems. Travels up to 25% within the GPC footprint.

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

Oversees and develops the company-wide inventory process (70%).

Receives, ships, and organizes inventory at designated locations.

Maintains stock levels and reorders supplies to avoid shortages or overstocking.

Designs and implements inventory tracking and reporting systems.

Conducts regular physical inventory counts and reconciliations.

Automates inventory processes and integrates improvements into the Workday system.

Predicts inventory availability problems and prepares inventory reports.

Procures materials, supplies, equipment, and other products for GPC and its affiliates (30%).

Coordinates with internal departments to determine purchasing needs.

Processes purchase requisitions and issues purchase orders using the Workday system.

Researches vendor pricing, negotiates terms, and tracks delivery turnaround.

Maintains vendor relationships and attends periodic trade shows.

Codes purchase orders and invoices with appropriate general ledger codes.

Investigates and resolves procurement issues, delays, and discrepancies.

Manages office and janitorial supply inventories for designated offices.

Ships materials and equipment as needed to various company locations.

Travels to other GPC locations up to 25% of the time.

Provides backup support for other procurement and inventory roles as needed.

Maintains accurate filing, recordkeeping, and reporting procedures.

Supports management in group discussions, planning, and projects.

Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Associate’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Supply Clain Management or a related field, or equivalent work experience

3-5 years of procurement or supply chain experience required
